Haha. Today, I had a most interesting chat with my sister while I was in the toilet and she was in the other one. We were talking about "if only".
Me: How come you finish my whole bottle of hair spray in a week?!?
Sis: Don't exaggerate! I didn't use that much! (obviously she did cos I didn't go out at all)
Me: Haiyo.. You gotta buy me a new bottle man..
Sis: Come to think of it.. If only people are not so conscious about their hair, then we wouldn't be arguing about the hairspray.
Me: Well, if only people didn't invent the hairspray then there would be nothing to argue about.
Sis: Yeah, so if only people were not conscious about looks, then we wouldn't be so vain and want to make-up or do out hair.
Me: So if people were not vain, then it wouldn't matter if their face has pimples!
Sis: Ya! Actually it's all Adam and Eve's fault. If they never eat the fruit, then they woulnd't be aware that they're naked and have to be covered.
Me: Yeah! Then we won't have to be bothered with clothes and branded stuff!
Sis: Haha! If God didn't create Man, then all would be fine!
Me: Maybe He should have made all of us as robots, then we wouldn't be troubled with all the choices which we would have to make.
Haha.. That got me thinking. People nowadays are spoilt for choice. From clothes to products to the food they eat, we have so many things to choose from. And all because God was good enough to give us the freedom of choice. What would the world be if He decided to create people who only follow His bidding. It would be such a boring and monotonous place. Thank God for the gift of choice. To be able to choose what I want to do today, tomorrow or even in the future. The combination of the choices of the peoples of the world is what makes the world a more exciting, vibrant and interesting place to live in. And I suppose that's what God really wants. To create a species who would live under such vibrancy, and yet out of it all be able to make its own choice as to whether they want to believe and worship Him. It is this self-decision that makes the relationship between Man and God all the more endearing and romantic. Just picture the person whom you love. Is it out of self-will that you say the words "I Love You", or was it being forced out of you? I believe you know what I'm talking about. I believe God wants us, out of everything that's happening in the world today, to choose to say "I Love You" by our own self-will, rather than Him imposing it on us. Otherwise, it wouldn't be true love anymore. Jesus died on the Cross for us because He chose to do so (John 10:18). I choose to love him in return. I pray one day, you would too. =)
